Amma on Discontent

Disciple: Amma, the number of people seeking counsel for discontent are
becoming more. How should we counsel them?

Amma: Discontent comes to a successful person as well as an unsuccessful person. But there is a difference. For the unsuccessful, discontent is arising out of psychological suffering, which is rooted in fear, insecurity or frustration. The successful suffer discontent because they are searching for a higher meaning to life.

Disciple: Amma, what then is the path to liberation for both?

Amma:The one who has not discovered his purpose or the right work for him, is prone to unnecessary psychological activity. Hence he should protect himself by focusing on his work, which will eventually lead him to his awakening. The successful on the other hand, should adopt the path of service to have an awakening.
